Christine RISKINE-GUIGUEN, born in 1953 in Carnac (Morbihan/Britanny), has studied music in Paris. Starting with the piano at 9 years old, she went on with the organ 3 years later in Micheline LAGACHE course. In the same time, she attended to Yvonne DESPORTES (Grand Prix of Roma) writing course.

At only 17, she won unanimously the Paris organ first prize, in Paris Notre-Dame cathedral, Pierre COCHEREAU being the chairman examiner.

The following year, she also won unanimously the fist prize for excellence and a piano prize. Studing spinet and harpsichord, she improved on interpretation and improvisation with Edouard SOUBERBIELLE, organ master. At only 15 years old, she taught rudiments of music, the piano and the organ and gave her first recital two years later in St Thomas d'Aquin church.

Titular organist of the Val de Grâce Royal Chapel from 1972 to 1992, she composes and, in 1977, as well in Paris as at the Avignon Festival, she performs an Ephraïm KISHON harpsichord piece. As she teaches music, she gives solist public performances either in France or abroad.

Although she is specialized in "baroque" music, she has a thorough repertoire and likes, when she performs, playing pieces straying from the beaten track.
